Mission Statement
Second Chance For Cats is a nonprofit organization set up to spay or neuter homeless felines, and then adopt, relocate, or release these cats. Our goal is to reduce the free roaming cat population in Bluefield, West Virginia and the surrounding area, and to provide ongoing care, including rabies vaccinations, medical treatment, and food for homeless and neglected cats. Our ultimate goal is to have a rescue and no kill shelter.
Some Stats We Are Proud Of
In 2010, Second Chance For Cats spayed 162 and neutered 96 felines for a total of 258 altered cats. All of these cats were provided rabies vaccinations and as-needed medical treatment.
In 2009, a total of 240 felines were altered, provided rabies vaccinations, and given as-needed medical treatment.
