Second Chance for Cats opened our doors in June of 2013 and can house 65 cats and kittens. We invite you to tour our facility
Our adoption fee is $80.00 for most. Some are $100.00. All adults are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and de-wormed- a $750.00 value.

Since our inception in 2008, we have spayed/neutered and provided rabies vaccinations to 7,841 cats thru December of 2025. We have adopted 1,578 cats and kittens in the same period of time. 2024 was a record year with 885 spay ,neuters. We operate a Pet Food Bank at our local Union Mission and provide dog and cat food to pet owners in ne

Our Mission
Second Chance for Cats is a 501c3 non-profit organization set up to spay or neuter homeless cats, and then adopt, relocate, or release these cats. Our goal is to reduce the free-roaming population in the Bluefield, WV and surrounding area, and to provide ongoing care, including rabies vaccinations, medical treatment, and food for the homeless and neglected cats.
